UES crew ….ili ti United Electronic Sound crew se bavi organizacijom partija u gradu Zagrebu. Nedavno im je u goste došao Cristian Varela na rođendan njihovog projekta ‘UES party’ …..Sada su odradili interview s Varelom.

Pa da vidimo što kaže……

1. What did inspire you to become a dj ?
For me in the begining of my career, was completly necessary to play my compositions and/or creations to everybody. This is one of the positive ways when you are also a DJ.

2. How come that you decided to choose techno as your primary style of production ?
It was the most experimental and in the same time powerfull music for me and in my opinion also for the dancefloors!

3. You were nominated for many titles including the title for the best dj, best producer… can you tell us how did all that influence on your career and on you as a person ?
I think that the awards are most important for me as a person and it´s the way to confirm that I am doing right my job/ work. Every awards that I won gave more and more responsability with my career.

4. You are on the scene now for about 17 years, did it ever cross your mind that you are bored with all that and that you should retire ?
19 years now, the music is never boring and when your work is also your life, your passion and part of it your proper personality, it´s impossible to be bored and of course totally impossible to retire.

5. What do you think about expansion of minimal on the electronic music scene ?
My experience along all this years teach me that the music have periods and cycles of 6/7 years, that means that there was a period when the House music was big, after the Techno, after the Minimal and now, we are leaving a very beautyfull period, where all that styles have a big fusion. This is one of the most richest period in the 19 years of my career.

6. Do you think that techno will came back in it’s old form or will it evolve into something different ?
The Techno never disapeared, just changed and had a fusion with other styles, which is fantastic!!

7. Since we all know that there was massive expansion of digital labels on the production scene and with them came a lot of newcommer producers, what do you think of that ? Did it have any influence of overall music quality since nowdays praticaly anyone can release his music ?
This is very positive for the music because some of the new talents made really fresh the actual electronic styles. We have more producers, more cpompetitivity and that´s why we have more quality. Now the problem is that we have too much music and it´s difficult to find the quality!!

8. Pornographic Records was and still is a label that every techno dj has in his vinyl bag.What is the secret of it’s long success and how do you see Pornografic records and yourself  in 10 years ?
I can not know the future!!  ;)

9. What can you say to newcommer dj’s and newcommer producers that are trying to find their place in the global scene ?
They must trust in theirselves, they must have passion in his music, patience, confiance and of course good luck.

10. What do you think is the main reason that parties are not beeing attended like few years back ?
CRISIS

11. Recently Ben Sims played on a party where only about 30-40 people showed up, how would you react if it would happen to you ?
I hope that this will never happen to me.

12. First time you were in Zagreb it was on Perfection in club The Best with Pascal Feos.You left an indelible mark on everybody.Do you remember that party and how does it efected on you and your vision on our scene ?
It was a really nice night and I remeber every details. Pascal is a really nice friend, fantastic poroducer and dj andc the most important, he is a great person.

13. You have really big number of fans in Croatia.What message do you want to say to all of them ?
I LOVE YOU!!!!

14. For the 1st anniversary of United Electronic Sound without any doubt you were our only choice to celebrate our first birthday with.What do you expect on friday and what can you wish to United Electronic Sound party ?

ENERGY, FANTASTIC MUSIC, REALLY NICE ATHMOSPHERE AND I MUST SAY…HAPPY BIRTHDAY
